I gave U.S. America some of my youth: received a commission from the U.S. Army Infantry School, Fort Benning, Georgia; served in Viet Nam as a captain; attended the Army’s graduate school for officers: Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; I have commanded troops. As a civilian living in Europe, I worked with some of the NATO partners: Germany, Italy, Iceland, Belgium, The Netherlands, England, and Greece. I have attended pretty decent schools: the University of San Francisco, Ball State University, and The University of Chicago. And I have taught and still teach in some of America’s reputable schools: Boston University, The University of Oklahoma, Gonzaga University, Chapman University, and of course the University of San Francisco. The classroom too, is my friend; it’s a mind-opener. I believe knowledge is the source of power.
